Dear Andrews,

I enclose copies of three telegrams from Sir Archibald Clark-Kerr and of two telegrams which we have sent in reply about various aspects of our policy in the Far East.

2. You will see that we repeated our out telegrams

to Hong Kong, but it has occurred to me that you might like to send copies of them to the Governor of the Straits

Settlements.

Perhaps as they are not of immediate

importance to him it would suffice to send them by bag.

N. F. S. Andrews, Esq.

Yours sincerely,

Ashley
